Homework policy:
A 70 percent minimum homework requirement (all students must complete 70% of the required work as accepted by each individual teacher to pass the course)
Students are expected to stay actively engaged in learning from bell to bell each day of class.
Consequences:
Homework policy is a minimum requirement for each course failure to meet the minimum requirement is loss of credit in the course.
Active engagement is a classroom expectation as the other classroom expectations are at the academy and consequences are the same three as on the academy open disclosure
1. Individual teacher conference
2. Parent, teacher, student conference/communication.
3. Referral to administration.
Classroom Expectations:
Grades are based on Daily Work, Quizzes, and Tests. They are calculated by points with daily Work weighted 50%, Quizzes and Tests 50%. Class will last bell to bell with no lining up at the door. Also, hats and hoods are not allowed. Food and beverages with lids are acceptable as long as you clean up after yourself.
